Sebastian Homann came into the final table as the chip leader and put on a dominating performance in winning the WPT Marrakech main event and the €244,508 first prize check.  The young German claimed the title and the entrance to the WPT Champsionship in May 2011 in a little under seven hours.

He was the chip leader at the end of both of the first two days, too.

With five players left, Homann already had more than three-quarters of the chips in play, and it didn't take long for Guillaume de la Gorce and Felix Oberauer to be felted. Three-handed lasted a while longer with both Sebastien Compte and Guillaume Cescut battling gamely with their short stacks, until finally Cescut knocked out Compte and they were down to two.

In heads up play, Homann had nearly a 2-to-1 chip lead over Cescut, but the Frenchman fought back and even grabbed the lead away from Homann briefly. Homann then won a huge all-in with top pair of queens on a hand that saw betting on all streets, and a few hands later was finally able to finish off Cescut.

Final Table results: (prize in EUR)

1 Sebastian Homann 244,508
2 Guillaume Cescut 135,831
3 Sebastien Compte 90,554
4 Felix Oberauer 72,439
5 Guillaume de la Gorce 54,334
6 Dominik Nitsche 36,220
7 Johan Williamsson 28,977
8 Julien Labussiere 25,356
9 Patrick Muleta 19,920
