Dan Harrington and Erik Seidel will be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame as the official class of 2010 on November 8th as part of the WSOP Main Event final table festivities.  They were selected from the finalists who included: Chris Ferguson, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman-Traniello, Phil Ivey, Linda Johnson, Tom McEvoy, Daniel Negreanu, and Scotty Nguyen.

According to WSOP, Harrington has amassed more than $6 million in tournament winnings in his career, including winning the 1995 WSOP Main Event as well as a World Poker title. Perhaps most remarkably, Harrington has had tremendous success despite being only a part-time poker player.  He has reached the final table of the Main Evest four times, including back to back years in 1995 and 1996.  He most recently cashed in teh 2009 WSOP Main Event. Along with his 1995 Main Event win, he also capture a gold bracelet in the $2,500 NLHE event that same year.

Erik Seidel's accomplishments are equally as impressive. He is an 8-time WSOP gold bracelet winner who has won more than $10 million in tournament poker spanning four decades. He was the runner up at the 1988 WSOP Main Event.  The final hand has since been immortalize in the movie Rounders. Erik won his first bracelet in 1992 and his most recent one in 2007.  One of the greatest all-around tournament poker players ever, Seidel has won bracelets in five different disciplines of poker.

The special induction ceremony and celebration will take place at 8 pm in the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio, immediately preceding the heads up finale. It is ironic that these two famed players are being inducted at the same time as both got their start in tournament backgammone and played together as regulars at the famed Mayfair Club in New York.
