It seems all PokerStars NAPT tournaments pull big crowds and the Los Angeles NAPT main event was no different getting 701 players to the Bicycle Casino.  The prize pool generated was $3.2 million with $725,000 going to first place.

They had two day 1's and broke the money bubble on Sunday when online pro Carter King was the bubble boy 10 minutes into the final level of the day Sunday.

Notables who cashed but didn't make it to Monday's Day 3 include Shannon Shorr, James Van Alstyne, Eric Baldwin, Adam Junglen, Kristy Gazes, and Dan Schreiber.

Heading into Monday's Day 3 starting at 4 pm ET. with the lead is Jimmie Guinther with Travis Pearson close behind. Team PokerStars Canada Pro Anh Van Nguyen, 2010 WSOP Main Event 28th place finisher Bryn Kenney, two-time WSOP final tablist Mike Sowers and 2006 WSOP Main Event third-place finisher Michael Binger are all in the top ten.  Other notables still in contention include Gavin Griffin, Phil Laak and Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier.

The plan is for Day 3 is to play down from the 81 remaining players to a final table of eight. The winner will be decided on November 17th.
