Day 2 of the WSOPC Hammond Regional $10k Championship resumes Tuesday with 113 players remaining from the 226 original entrants. They are driving down towards the money bubble of 24 players.

The leader, by a fair margin is Ryan Julius of Peoria sitting on 265k, with Jonathan Tamayo in second with 186k. Bernard Lee, Gordon Vayo, Shannon Shorr, Vanessa Selbst, David Paredes and Chad Brown are the notables in the top 10 in chips as play resumes.

The prize pool is $2,101,800.  Kurt Jewell, winner of the WSOPC Hammond main event is in the middle of the remaining field. They will all be chasing the first prize of $525,449.


This is the first of four Regional WSOP Circuit Championship events.

Players in the Nationally Televised Regional Championship series are also competing for seats into the $1 million WSOP Circuit National Championship in Las Vegas next May.

Only 100 players will qualify, including all nine Chicago finalists.  Those finalists will be determined by Oct. 28th.
