Day 2 of the WSOPC Hammond Regional $10k Championship is about to pop the money bubble.  There was just a final 27 players three table redraw. They played down from 113 players that remained from the 226 original entrants. The money bubble will burst at 24 players.

The current leader is David Paredes with 725,000.  He has had a strong day hitting several sets and generally running and playing well to bust Kevin Saul, Vanessa Selbst and Jason Mercier along the way. They are playing level 19 currently with the blinds at 2500/5000 with an ante of 500. The average chip stack is around 250k.

The prize pool is $2,101,800.  They will all be chasing the first prize of $525,449.

 This is the first of four Regional WSOP Circuit Championship events. All remaining players will receive National Championship points. Players in the nationally televised Regional Championship series are also competing for seats into the $1 million WSOP Circuit National Championship in Las Vegas next May.  Only 100 players will qualify, including all nine Chicago finalists.  Those finalists will be determined by Oct. 28th.
