A poker battle between North America and Europe!!! I'm so excited for this intense battle. Overall I might be leaning towards Europe. I think that the US would have a big advantage if the teams were larger because we have more depth, but with this handfull of competitors Europe has the edge.

At first glance I was leaning toward favoring the Europeans as well. They have a great mix of experience, youth, aggression and guys that can really mix it up. The Americans are more established and old-school in their approach. But I just read that Doyle Brunson will not be able to compete and will be replaced by either Tom Dwan, Ben Lamb or Jason Mercier. I like Mercier and in a strange way I think it benefits the US to get a younger guy and actually makes them more dangerous than if they had Texas Dolly. I perdict an American victory.
The ends don't justify the means.

What??? Did you say it will help the Americans by replacing Doyle?? I don't care how old he is, in any gambling challenge that involves cards I want Doyle on my team. I really like the American team guys like Hellmuth, Negreanu, Chan are so experienced in big time moments and they'll know just how to play every sistuation to position the team for victory. I really like the Huck Seed pick as well. He's a guy that could go overlooked, but when it comes down to it he's the premier grinder/handicapper/gambler in the poker world.

I will side with the American... I will go with the experience, some of the young gun in the Europe are good but when pressure comes I will take the ''old'' guys =)
