I quit my job to be self employed. Sick of working for the man. That lasted four months where the only money I was bringing in was from poker. Just enough to scarp by and get the bills paid. Never really got a chance to play anything big because the bills where always due and never could get much of a bankroll. I played atleast 8 hours a day. Now that I went back to work to do both odviously when I'm not working it seems like I make more money like I did before I quit. Feels good to get out of the house even though I am soo sore right now. Good thing for the pain killers and the beer. Still dominating the tables...lol My dream is to become pro oneday. There is soo much more money to be made out there then what I'm busting my ass for and giving to the man evey week. Gotta make the old lady happy though. #1 priority.
They say if you can't spot the sucker within 30 minutes, you're it. I saw 9 of them the second I sat down.

I think there is definitely more money in poker that trying to earn it working for someone else. Just need to develop the skills to get there. I guess its a lot like going to university for a number of years and then graduating and getting a decent job. While you are "going to university" you get a job to help pay the bills until you graduate.

Ive been trying for about a year or so and havent won much online ive taken more from friends and coworkers.

you want to be a poker pro play only live games never heard of a online poker pro i don' think they exist just my thoughts keep it up dreams can come true. but they mostly take hard work good to you

I think you'll find that a lot of the younger poker pro's started playing online first. It takes a lot less time to get up to speed by playing online than it did in the old days of brick-n-mortar poker rooms.

i can be good if i focused and be a good slow player, if i get frustrated i always lose..

I'd like to be a poker pro like vaughn someday. The problem is that the majority of the games that I play in are at his house. The cheap ass penny roll games where you only win about 2 dollars after 5 hours of playing. Maybe if we could raise the stakes to 4/8 cent limit then I could start making something for a bankroll.
