There is no expected profit for a specific number of hands. There are too many different factors that can have a positive or negative effect on whether you win or lose, which makes expected profit levels non existent and impossible to predict on a per hand basis. Your overall goal should simply be to try and profit over the long term. Each session is independent. Just keep trying to play your best and don't worry about how much you win or lose. If you keep making good decisions, then good things should happen.
It's easier to fish if you're the one casting the reel.

Whats the profit you should expect in a 500 hands session? It first depends the limit you're playing, well the profit I would expect after a session is numberless. It's just good to be in the profit

well my suggestion of coming most close to your question is; because there is no expected value as it differs much is this: Use PokerOffice and after a few thousand hands you'll see at the BB/100 hands, a loss or profit number based on your game in the long run (and you shpuld always look for results in the long run), as a result of your range and the loss/profits you made. I think that if you're determined to get an answer on your question, this is the closesed nearby as there is no trustable answer on your question. A nice added feature with doing it this way is that you can realy improve your weaknesses and get a higher EV as you have on the moment of your question. GL

Today I made about $10 in profit after having played for 6 hours and I went to bed happy because I was in the positive so I never expected an amount for that 6 long hours. It's better like that.

I forget where I read it, but there is an expected win rate in limit poker( I think) of something like 2 BB an hour.
