Depends on whether you are talking about live or online poker. In a live tournament, cheating would be very hard to accomplish, since any sort of collusion with another player would be negated with the fact that there are so many possible tables that the two (or more) players could be seated at. That being said, there is a possibility for players at one table to dump to a single player. This would only be done if the player receiving all the chips was guaranteeing the others a cut of his winnings. Unfortunately, cleaning out one table is never a guarantee of long term success, so this strategy is not likely to happen often. In a live game, there is a chance to bully other players with raises, and reraises to try and get more money in the pot, with the hopes of an ally at the table taking down a larger than normal pot due to raises from players who are simply building the pot with no intention to play. This can be profitable, but there is not much point, since casinos are always watching for suspicious play and any sort of actions from players that become too familiar will be looked into. In an online tournament, the same basic collusion as a live tournament could take place. The only difference is that two players that know eachother could use phone or some sort of internet chat medium to tell each other what they are holding. Online cash game collusion is similar to live games, with the additon of the ability to divulge your cards to another player the table via phone or internet. Those are few ways to cheat, and although they can be profitable, most poker sites and casinos take collusion very seriously and will ban players and freeze their accounts due to suspicious activity. I wouldn't worry too much about that sort of thing. If you are at a cash table and something doesn't seem right, just get up and leave. Spend the majority of your time figuring out your opponents tendencies and tells, not whether they are cheating or not.

Your hoping but I hope your not believing ther is no cheating going on. There are programs that let you look at an opponents hand while playing. Look up cheating at online poker on you tube. Colision also happens alot more than you think. Two people that know each other will sit at the same table and tell each other their cards. It does help knowing two cards in the deck but cant make you alot of money, it would take a long time because someone will catch on you.
They say if you can't spot the sucker within 30 minutes, you're it. I saw 9 of them the second I sat down. -Vaughn
