As happened in the $300 Points Tourney on CD yesterday. I still think I played the hand right. Since I moved sat to that table like 2 hands before, I didn't have much of a tell on jhe81. Any suggestions?

u played it right shortstacked so it is just unlucky that he has a better kicker..

That is the problem with playing marginal hands, that hit a couple of ways. Top pair and a flush draw. I'd say you played it right for a short stack, but you weren't really short stacked.

Sorry but I do not think you played that well. The guy raised from under the gun - not a big raise but you must give hime some credit for that. You bet $90 into a pot of $345 on the flop and he just called you. I am not sure what your bet was meant to do - you were giving him pot odds of 4-1 so if he was also on a flush draw you were giving him the odds he needed to call. I think his call is also bad - with top pair and a reasonable kicker and a flush draw on the table and a weak bet into him, I think he should raise. Having bet out on the flop and got called, you now make another weak bet of 120 into a pot of 435, giving him odds of about 4.5 -1 - again, what was this bet meant to do? You are then re-raised all in and call! What do you think he had that you could beat? At that point whilst you were the short stack you still had 650 chips with the blinds at 15/30 so you had an m of about 14.5 - you were not in a position where you had to call an all-in bet where it was likely that you were behind and where you were not getting the odds to draw to the flush.
