agreed with the cap, i'll try and host a game at my place as often as possible, getting a regular game though is difficult because of the nights i work.

For the cap, I don't think we need one because the only way we are going to lose is if we're sucked out on. (Except if Melon decides to run some bluffs). If you guys want one though $700 sounds like a good number

Also ladies I have paid Timbo so I'm good for last game with the tards.
Steve I was thinking that until they start the weekly game you should make our game fortnightly, on the alternate fortnights.
For the buy in Cap I like $700 (2buyins and a top up).

I think we're locking in Ed's method.
Just as a thought, we may need to set a buy-in cap per player if we are incorporating loss recuperation into our split but I guess we can vote on that one too.
Ed, I have your $100 here.
Also, if you guys could let me know your BM username and email I can wire you some coin, because thanks to the three of you, (and by that I mean melon) I got top 3 in referrals for the site last month.

Fast Eddys, and fuck yeah. for the record they stink like my bum bum

payday00 posted on Jun 5th 2008 ...
Also in future are you guys keen to hit up Fast Eddy's/Mickey D's after the game to split the takings? They can give us change and it saves owing $. Also we can talk about how bad they are.

I think it's the way ed did it but if we do it that way id like to keep doing it in future is everyone cool with that.

Tims way was the one I thought we discussed before we started but me and melon were talking on the way home and we were discussing the method I used.
I'm happy any way, but if I could vote I wouldn't pick Steve's.

For the sake of being at uni and very bored, here is my interpretation of the deal (using steves numbers - are these right/didnt melon rebuy?)
Steve UP $350
Ed UP $350
Melon UP $1260
Timbo UP $0
Each puts 30% of their profits into the 'bucket' which is then split four ways:
Ed, Steve IN $105 each
Melon IN $378
Total = $578
Four ways = $147 each.
From this deal Steve, Ed UP $42
Timbo UP $147
Melon DOWN $231
This way I think is the simplest (its how we did it at burswood '06) but I'm happy with melon picking.
Its just another method thats all. Your methods are fine, just based on different formulas -
Steve's punishes rebuying by taking a % of stack rather than profit, and Eds is the easiest on the guy who loses the night because some % of losses are covered. Mine I think is somewhat easier on rebuying because if you profit $0 then you don't have to pay, but is a fair bit harsher on the loser because he only gets his share of the night's profit, rather than that plus compensation.
I'm happy letting melon decide as I have considerable bias this time around, but we all seem to be in agreement on sticking to the one system.
|
 |
scubes87 posted on Jun 5th 2008 ...
i agree, so melon decides and if we do it again then we use the same idea every time.
|
 |
EdBear09 posted on Jun 5th 2008 ...
Well I don't care which one either, so I think we should let Melon decide seeing he's the one who has to do the paying out.
|
 |
payday00 posted on Jun 4th 2008 ...
I'm easy either way even though eds way seems a lot better (to me), the important thing is if we do this again for us to use the same system.
|
 |
scubes87 posted on Jun 4th 2008 ...
Ed, dont think that im disagreeing with you i just dont know the agreement. Im happy with either figure just as long as we stick to it in the future.
|
 |
scubes87 posted on Jun 4th 2008 ...
okay so basically what your saying is that i forgot to take into account tims losses in the equation, just the percentage of winnings?
tim and melon, is this the agreement? you guys tried it first, if it was just you two is this how you would go about it?
|

EdBear09 posted on Jun 4th 2008 ...
I worked it out another way.
Total Profit - Melon: $1260
Ed and Steve: $350
Tim: -$600
Therefore we must cover Tim for his losses and then pay out form the winnings.
So the big 3 give cover 30% of his losses, ie. give him $60 each. ($180/3).
Timbo = 3x$60 + 10% of Melons winnings + 10% of Eds winnings + 10% of Steves winnings
= 180 + 126 + 35 +35
= $376
Now with the winners we all lose $60 to Tim initially, then pay 10% of our winnings to each person and receive 10% of each persons winnings.
Ed and Steve = -60 - 3x35 + 126 + 35 = -$4
Melon = -60 - 3x126 + 35 + 35 = -$368
So, Tim receives $376. Steve and Ed pay $4. Melon pays $368

Whatever my number comes out to be -100 each to melon and ed.
|
 |
scubes87 posted on Jun 3rd 2008 ...
okay the 10% from last night goes.
buy-in:
Ed 300
Melon 300
Tim 600
Steve 300
cash out:
ed 650
melon 1560
tim 0
steve 650
10% of each stack is:
ed 65
melon 156
steve 65
then times that figure by 3 giving:
ed 195
melon 468
steve 195
total= 858
divide that 4 ways= 214.5
outcome:
ed +19.50
melon -253.50
tim +214.50
steve +19.50
