Did it once.... Very particular situation!
8 players left I was second in chips with 250 000 T$ Chip leader was at 280 000 T$ Nobody had more than 65K beside me and CL Blinds were 2K/4K + antes
So I was virtualy sure to take 2nd place wich was 1500$ and 3000K for 1st position And 8th place was 75$
UTG go all in for 30K I call with AA CL reraise all in
I had to lay it down... if I call I lost 1:4 and take 75$ If fold I virtualy take 1500 woch is 20 times the price...
Belive it or not it was +EV to fold here!!!

I go all in on aces before the flop...makes for making less decisions during that hand
I talk so much everyone stopped listening a long time ago

I would never fold a AA expect if it's a tournament and I'm secured winning if I use all my time and fold.

Kingjack, you only call the UTG, so ChipLeader try to isolate in an heads-up with UTG and go allin; now you are pot committed and you must call. My right move is go allin before the ChipLeader, if he have a premium hand like KK or QQ, he already call.

The situation KJ described is [erfectly justifiable, as he makes a guaranteed wadg of extra cash, hoever, there's an even more clear cut case for it.
You're into the last 9 of a satellite tournament, positions 1 to 8 all pay the same prize, entry into the big game, 9th goes home with nowt. You're the short stack, but still in no real danger of being blinded out yet and there are 3 all-ins in front of you, all with virtually identical stacks (bigger than yours), meaning that 2 players are 95+% to be eliminated guaranteeing you your entry, you look down at AA.
If you wouldn'tfold it there, you deserve to get knocked out and miss outon the prize.

id agree with you WM that laying them down in that scenario would be plausible(but dificult) but to lay them down because the chip leader reraised is a definate NONO! btw KJ where did ye finish?

I took 2nd place for 1500$.... Very frustrating HU match with the CL... I started as a 2:3 dog in chips... Work my way up to 3:1 favorite dominating and winning multiple small pots. Then he went on tilt and went all in twice in a row with marginal holdings I called both times once with 99 VS A-rag... and the other time with AJs VS TJ... and I lost both hands!
And BTW when I dropped my Rockets the CL actulay had KK and hit a 4th flush card on the river!!!! He would have break me up!!!! ; )

you were chipleader right? wasn't it better to call that one? the chances of you losing were very small and even then you wouldn't be dead right? i probably would've...
