Why do most players don't show the location where they live? Are they paranoid? or what's the reason?

It is not paranoia, it is not giving info that could be used in game against you.

Well I for one don't appreciate it.... and think it should be forced that you have to display For example, if PlayerX in seat 3 is from Bristol, and PlayerY in seat 7 is also from Bristol, I would be very wary if they are never in the same hand, whereas it is a lot more difficult to spot if each player live in "N/A" Not that means that they will be in collusion, just it would help stop the few people that like to try.... Just a little thing that makes me think your location info should be displayed.

They Poker Rooms check the IP adresses to avoid such cheating. And if they want to cheat they don't have to show the right location anyway. So it's meaningless

You're right Pek! It's for nothing to display, cheaters can display or show the wrong location! Hey Pek? Did you ckeck the issue with pokerrooms about the IP adress check? I wanted to ask them too, because i think there are a lot cheaters out there and that's not poker not even funny! I hope pokerrooms check this and i hope all the pokerhackerstuff does not work!!!! Does someone know anything about this?

every player has their reason....when i had my location visible i got a lot of * becouse i´m fron Finland so therefore i don´t have it visible enymore
