$2 gal. for gas by Thanksgiving??

I may only be 27, but I can't help but catch myself telling my kids

"Way back when I was a kid fuel was less than a dollar!"

And of course my 11 year old say of course "Oh Dad, you're just old...."

I can't help but think I may really be old.

Saw it for $1.99 this morning.

Hey, I remember during my first year driving, every once in a while, gas would dip down to 98 cents/gal. When I was a kid, my folks could put a full tank in a station wagon for 10 bucks.

Saw it for $1.99 this morning.

Back up to $2.19 today.

It will go down again. It's almost election time!

When I was a kid you could fill up for $5 and all the cars had tanks with at least 20 gallons.

cigartettes were 33cents a pack

I bought my first car (an oldsmobile) in 1973 and it was $2850.

i'm 28 with no kids, i'd say you are no where near old.

Our fuel here in Canada has reached the same ridiculous prices.

Jeff: When you pay for gas with a big bill, and get alot of change do you often find that you get paid with an American nickle?

I've litterally got a milk jug full of canadian change that I've got back as change over the years.

LOL there is some for sure!

I keep them as I collect foriegn coins and cash anyway.

I'm only 18 and I remember when gas was under $1. The lowest it was since I've been able to drive was like 1.49 but still thats a huge change for 2 years.

its a bloody outrage...i blame little johnny howard

try 4.00 by next thanksgiving .....

Gas costs about $3.50 or more a gallon around where I am.
