I agree. I see people call raises and bets because they have a pair of Aces despite the fact that their kicker is a 3. The kicker can be very crucial, especially when you have more players at the table than when it's heads up.

Last week, at cash game, i won some just because and A kicker.... there was a four of a kind K (kxkkk) at the table and i raise out of the pattern trying to just appera like a bluff and... it worked! I had two callers whith nothing, just thinking the four of a kind (any kicker) was good enougth......

Sure, but I think the thread starter was reffering to the kicker OF an ace. It amazes me, too, how people raise against 3 callers, say, with A5 offsuit. They do actually seem to win a lot of hands that way. But as we know from experience, playing ace-lowkicker is extremely dangerous.
There is a very easy way to return from a casino with a small fortune: go there with a large one.

I have learned the hard way....the kicker is almost as important as the pair of aces!
Don't argue with me...

The kicker is very important, but some players get ace-rag and think because they have a ace they got a good hand,I beleive it"s a fact of lack of knowledge and not a clue what there doing!

Some people don't understand how weak an ace with a low kicker is. It's not bad to play heads up but definately good to fold when there are three or more other possible players in a hand. Fortunately though you can make money off those people if they don't hit two pair on you.

I agree too. I loosed many times because of SMALLER kicker. Lyudmila

The kicker is used a lot when against people that know how to play properly. If you keeping playing bad kickers, then you shouldn't be playing, because you're relying on luck rather that skill and you will lose your money in the long run.
