Um if you lost 400 in 20 minutes you were playing so far above your roll as to no longer qualify as poker but instead as gambling.
Just because I'm moody, doesn't mean you're not irritating.

That doesn't sound too good, but playing more than %30 of your bankroll is not good. Investing more money to get back the money you lost simply doesn't work most of the time. When you see you lost %30 of your bankroll just take a break and return the next day after you calmed down.

i played above my bankroll and lost as well, good learning experience though i will never do that again. once the money started slipping away i got into double up mode and tried to push people off hands by pushing all in to double up. although in my defense 3/4 hands i tried it with i was ahead and lost the race to the river. i was in with the best cards on the flop, but thats poker the varience caught up in those exact 4 hands and the other players caught their cards. had i been playing where i should have been it would have been a $40 loss, not a bankroll loss.
the older i get, the better i was

takes a while to figure out what table you should play at with regards to your bankroll, but i work on the 10-20% max buy in with regards to a nl table. personally i play .10c/.25c nl and put in the max buy in of $25. its comfortable within my bankroll, so if it goes wrong i don't get hurt catastrophically. then once the bankroll is heavily built, i'll think about upping my limits. but as the following was quoted "just take a break and return the next day after you calmed down." ' there's a reason many literatures have been written on the rule of tilt. you'll learn from it.

Ouch! But shit happens! We all have these sitations, you have to learn not to make experiments in levels which are over your bankroll! Otherwise you lost all your hard earn money on one day! Take care...

The limit you are playing is way too high, if you can build your way to that amount, then lost it all. I would also say that a lot of that money made could have come down to luck. Generally if you start losing, you would want to stop and come back at another time.
