I have never folded it pre-flop but wanted to, my buddy convinced me to go.
Situation, step back to the $500 000 refer a friend freeroll. All the US players got the boot. I'm running top 15 with about 100 left. One guy at my table has more chips than me, he is 3rd if i remember. Im in BB he pushed, and I didn't want to call. If i lose i get $150 or i could grind it out and probably make at least $1000 without any major confrontations. Back then I didn't have much of a BR. I ended up calling after arguing with my friend. He flips over Q's and of course flops a set, and my tournie is over. He went on to win 8 K or something. I went to a cash table pushed my $150 twice, got called..lost and shut my computer down for a week ):

I would never fold AA preflop heck i rarely never fold any cards preflop if its just a small bet.
Just because i rock doesn't mean i'm made of stone.

I would never fold a AA expect if it's a tournament and I'm secured winning if I use all my time and fold.
the flop can give you the nuts or kick you in em!!

If i was guaranteed to finish in the money by folding it, I would. If I was already in the money, I would probably call out of position ( live game only ) or move all in anyways the only better hand u could have is AK suited. Why would I call outta position you ask, dont want someone after me calling with crap because of pot odds. ( its always the greedy donkey with crap chasin odds that hits a miracle on 5th St. ) against me anyways sniff sniff.... nothing like losing to a 2-3 off suit with pocket aces.

Why fold pre-flop when you know you're getting in with the best hands. Also, even if say top 10 pay and there are 11 left and you're up against a short stack that's all-in and the chip leader that's also all-in. Are you playing to make the money....or are you playing win? Personally I would never fold preflop with AA. You want to get your money in ahead...and also you want to play to win not just hang on.
