only time to fold AA preflop is when your in a qualifing tourny and it's the bubble seat. IF you have enough chips to go through then fold. after all you don't need extra chips but you could lose them all

ive had to do it .Only to cash in on some cash.I was on the bubble and wanted to take some cash for a change. Its hard to make the money online.Especially with online poker.I mean it is a randomiser not live play and in my opinion rigged for the house all the way to the bank

Never flop AA preflop as it is the best starting hand at this time in the game. It may get beaten with crap! but thats just unlucky if that happens to you. Always go in for it!
I AM HERE YOU ARE THERE! LETS PUT YOUR BANKROLLS ON IF YOU DARE! ! !

It's a quite simple act when the conditions are right. You're a fool to believe that just beause you hold the nuts preflop, that you'll win. I mean really. Online hold'em has been around for years now so you n00b's that have started playing this game since it started coming on tv have NO excuse for still being a peanut.

For those of you that either are really new to the game or still haven't learned, read a few books. If that's too much of a risk for you, stop playing freerolls and actually pay a reasonable price for those Aces. See how fast you Don't go "All-In". Watch as you're sitting at a $50+5 MTT "Under the Gun" with your rockets and you go "All-In" and 2 other players call. One of which is the short stack, the other is the Big Stack. Still feel confident about those 5 community cards? You do? Interesting...

OK back to the question, how about folding them pre-flop? Easy. You are on the button. Best place on the table right? Best cards in the game are placed in front of you and you begin to question "How many idiots can I lure in?" Now it's early in our tournament and Mr short stack goes all in for 550 chips. Next person in line calls, the next one re-raises shorty to his all in which is now 1350 chips. Obviously the next few would fold unless they have reson to believe their cards are hot, but how could they? You have half the deck of "BEST CARDS IN THE WORLD" right? So lets say one of the above mentioned folders actually want to play but their stacks are only 100-200 more than the all in amount. So they figure "why not". Now the amount of 1500 is to you. Mr. last to act holding the MONSTER. What are you going to do? Roll the dice? Odds say 56% of the time you're going to be out.

There's only two cards (within reason) that can help you, unless you expect nothing less than a straight or flush. So you're folding now? Why? Think of all those chips that are already yours cause you're holding the nuts? I have been playing this game for just over 19 years now and I have seen just about everything. I've had royals (3), had my quads beaten, and played the 7-2 guru and lost dozens of times, yet I still keep coming back. Why? Cause on the books, I'm still up and there's no better odds.

Besides, who's going to know you folded them? You telling me you would own up to such a thing? Maybe on your death-bed. But at least you're funreal would be paid for by you, not your kids.

-------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope to break even this week. I need the money.

For Me i think AA gives you better odds than any other hand ,but never forget that In poker everything can hapen , and AA gets killed a lot of times .After of getting so many bad beats holding AA i'am starting to think that sometimes you do have to fold AA to protect your bankroll.last month i just lost about 100 $ whith 2 AA hands payng the allin of others ,one a KK , and one a 99  .So even if you're winning pre flop doesn't meen your going to win the hand .
OK OK I FOLD!!!

If I right remember, i fold AA on preflop two times.

1.  In big tournament near bubble, then 4 players goes all-in (two AK, AQ & 99 as i see later). Two of them had stack bigger then mine. Win 99, cathching trips.

2. Sit&Go 4 players left, i had short-stack(M=1,5) and other players much more chips, especially chipleader with 70% of all chips. 2 players with near equal stacks goes all-in and i fold.  Soon after this situation chipleader knock out  winner of this hand, and I get 2-nd place finally. Classical situation.

maybe the ones who did it ...have did it because they hoped for a larger prize ..... and when you hope for a better place you aren't so confident even if you have an AA so you fold ....  i personally don't fold aa preflop...i go all in

If you want AA dream you must dream to AA

I neverf old aces preflop, losing with them against ATC or lower pockets is simply a badbeat in my opinion.

If luck shuts the door, you have to come in through the window.

AA is the best pre-flop hand you can get. That means to me: Always call...nomether what.. I usually make a big pre-flop bet, or go all inn before the flop! The best chances to win with AA, is against one or max. 2 opponents. There is nothing worse then playing your AA against 4 or more opponents! There's always someone with a straight, flush or two pair..
