Almost every tournament player had the bad luck to be the "Bubbleman" in a tournament!

The Bubbleman is the last player who went out the tournament befor the players are in the money!

First, a difficult question: What hurts more? To lose as bubbleman or to lose in 11th position? or even to lose the heads up?

I am a quite thight tournament player and if I am in 50% of the money places an there are about 200-300% players, i play very thight to reach the moneyplaces!! Let's say, i did!! ;)

It happend too often that I was the bubbleman or some players behind!! that hurts me more than losing in 11th position, hmmm, or not,hmmm, a difficult question for me I already told you! ;)

In low Buy in tounraments is the luck factor a lot higher than in high buy ins! And in those lower ones its easy to gamble around the bubbleman positions!! BUT in the others, the high buy ins, the ECOOP Main event or let's say in the WSOP main event! How would you play if you know  you are in the Boubleman position and there are not many players behind you!???

I can't answer this question by myself in this special case, but online I do more and more play a little looser and try to reach the places which are for sure in the money OR get busted out, out of the moneyplaces, but it hurts toooooo much if you are the bubble man in great tournaments!!!

I Have a little example from my weeks play:

I played in a League, just 29 players, $1 Buy in and first three are in the money!

I played 2 houres almost perfect, (I regret NO hand), and was always in positions 1 to 4! I reached the final table easy and now comes the clou :(

Most say Badbead or Suckout, it's poker, but in bubbleman position it really sucks :S

Eeeem, We were 4 players left, BB 1500, chips equal in all amounts, i was a little in front and the opponents played loose, i decided to play strong thight, to reach at least the final 3!

After 50 hands I got AA move all in and got busted AWAY with and 88 call and he catched for sure his 2outer!! :((

I finished in 4th position, the BUBBLEMAN, hahaha :S its not funny!

By the way, the first 3 won a game against soccerstars :(((((

I always say, I don't want luck, I just want no bad luck!!!!!
