Holdem
Omaha
Razz
Seven Card Stud
Seven Card Stud, Eight or better.

  • Limit Holdem (H): Draws are much more common, pots are smaller than no limit, and bluffing is less important and slowplaying in limit game is not to think about.
  • Omaha High/Low (O):  The best low hand is A,2,3,4,5. At showdown the best high hand splits with the best low hand and it is possible to have both..
  • Razz (R):  7 Card Stud played only for the low and the best hand in Razz is A,2,3,4,5. Pros gave Razz a nick name "The Hated Game"
  • 7 Card Stud (S):  High-card Stud game. The best starting hand is A,A,A and you can play this game with the drawing odds you have learned from Holdem.
  • 7 Card Stud Eights or Better (E):  7 Card Stud H/L. Here you need to pay attention to the low and as in Omaha Hi/Lo the best high hand splits with the best low hand and it is possible to have both.

HORSE is a limit game and the game changes with the rise in blind levels. This game is the biggest tests of skill for poker player because you need to know how to play five different games and a good understanding with fixed limit betting of pot-odds and outs.  Here you cant defend as much against draws or bet as many chips as you might have been able to in no limit. When playing HORSE you need to keep in mind what the two most important things are in the game, what are my weaknesses? and what are my strengths? and you should know your opponents strengths and weaknesses as well.

In the tournament you need to remember to switch gears from one game to the next, by not paying attention you will maybe still playing razz when its changed to stud game, and this can cost you a lot. One part of the skill what needs to win a HORSE tournament is to not make that mistake, and realizing when your opponents has forgot what game they playing so u can take advantage of the situation.

Aggression and positive play and taking risks earlier in the game, to build up a big stack,  can be your weapon to put pressure on your opponents later in the game.
